Jayne Zanglein is passionate about publicizing the accomplishments of women ignored by history and chronicling the challenges women face today. Her book, The Girl Explorers: How a Group of Globetrotting Women Trekked, Flew, and Fought Their Way Around the World will be published in late 2020 by Sourcebooks, the largest woman-owned publisher. It tells the story of a remarkable group of women who formed the Society of Woman Geographers. Like the founding members of the SWG, she believes that marginalized groups become visible through empathic reporting, law, and democracy.
