Group Meetings

Each SWG group holds meetings between September and May to hear noteworthy speakers from among the membership, including authors, scholars, and explorers reporting on recent expeditions.

CORRESPONDING MEMBERS WILL MEET IN PARIS!
We will be having a meeting for Corresponding Members in Paris on November 18-20, 2011. Despite the rather short notice, I hope we can assemble as many members as possible.
Our agenda:
Friday, November 18 – 8:30 p.m. Dinner at Le Petit Lutetia, 107, rue de Sevres, tel: 01 45 48 33 53. This 1915 brasserie with Belle Epoque décor serves excellent food.
Saturday, November 19 – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Power point/slide/spoken presentations by members describing their current projects. Mechtild Rossler’s office at UNESCO.
1:30 p.m. Lunch at the Brasserie Suffren (close to UNESCO), 84, Avenue de Suffren, tel: 01 45 66 97 86. Superb salads and seafood.
For those who come from outside Paris, or who have the time and wish to, we can plan to eat dinner together on Saturday night and visit a museum together – or go for a walk, weather permitting – on Sunday morning.
Please let me know if you will be able to attend. We need to make advance arrangements to enter the UNESCO headquarters and make reservations for dinner and lunch. It will be great to catch up on our current projects and spend time together!
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Barbara Euser  corresponding@iswg.org
