Applications Invited for Society of Woman Geographers Dissertation and Minority Fellowships

The Society of Woman Geographers (SWG) announces two national fellowship programs for 2012-2013. Both are for women in geography and geographical aspects of other fields and are funded by SWG’s Evelyn L. Pruitt Fund.

The SWG Fellowship Committee invites applications from woman Ph.D. candidates for the Pruitt National Fellowship for Dissertation Research. SWG expects to make two or three awards of $8,000 to $15,000 for 2012-2013. Applications are due February 1, 2012.

The SWG invites applications also for the Pruitt National Minority Fellowship. Minority women who have been admitted to and plan to enroll or are enrolled in a Masters program in geography are eligible to apply.  One or two awards of $1,000 to $6,000 will be made for 2012-2013. The application deadline is May 15, 2012.

Pruitt Fellowships
