SEPTEMBER MEETING – Agenda 10:45 a.m. Arrival, Socializing 11:00 a.m. SWG Updates Sharing of your summer travel 11:30 a.m. Program Presentation: ICELAND – A Sense of Place presented by Judy Bock Iceland is a very unique country, based on a rich cultural background of beliefs and traditions and situated on dynamic geologic features. There is the raw beauty of the landscape, shaped by the volcanoes of the Mid-Atlantic Rift Valley and glacial action. The cities are modern and vibrant. The environmental ethic and understandings show how Icelanders are in touch with their land. The geologic features and cities of the southwestern region shape our understanding of Iceland and its people. 12:30 p.m. Lunch and Socializing This meeting is open to guests.
